RECIPE Banana Nut Bread
2 cups sugar
1/2 pound butter or margarine, melted (2 sticks)
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 mashed bananas, plus milk to measure 3 cups (put the mashed bananas in a measuring cup and then fill it up with milk to reach 3 cups)
Walnuts (I used a chopper to make smaller pieces)
cinnamon and sugar mixture to sprinkle on top
In medium bowl, cream together sugar and melted butter or margarine. Add eggs and vanilla nad mix well. Add flour, baking soda, salt, and banana-milk mixture; mix until combined. Add in chopped walnuts (as many as you’d like)
Spoon batter into greased and floured loaf pan. Sprinkle the cinamon and sugar mixture on top of the batter. This receipe makes 2 loafs. Bake in preheated 350 F degree oven for 50-55 minutes, or until toothpick insterted in center comes out clean.
Cool in pan for 10 minutes before turning out onto a rack.
